“In spite of the international scope of our project, we are proud of this region, especially of its virtually unlimited potential that could be unleashed in case of winning the ECOC title,” pointed out Gorazd Mauri, the head of the EWOL project. With its numerous successes in various Olympic disciplines featuring large yachts, the Slovenian sailing is a proud ambassador of not only the Slovenian Istria but the whole Slovenia as a maritime country, where knowledge, innovation, and cultural achievements play a crucial role in everyday life. “Just as close collaboration and dedication to the common goal can be the yacht team’s key winning factor, so is the joint effort in pursuing this ambitious candidacy. Therefore, we welcome the joint initiative of the four municipalities. For this purpose, a graphic image (the logo) of the candidacy will accompany us on the mainsail at future regattas,” added Mauri.
